Our Story

Welcome to LovePadel.ie, an Irish online padel store created by players, for players of all skill levels and playing styles.

I'm Merrill Goussot, Chief Padel Officer here at LovePadel.ie. Originally from France, I have been living in Ireland for over 20 years. I first fell in love with the country, and indeed my wife, as an Erasmus student at Trinity College in 2001. I have had a lifelong love of racket sports and first began playing padel during holidays in France many years ago, just as padel was really beginning to take off there. Like so many, I was soon hooked, and thrilled when padel began to gain momentum in Ireland.

I was very excited to see my favourite sport grow in Ireland as quickly as it had in France, but noticed quickly that there were relatively few retailers supplying padel equipment here, and that the range of padel rackets and accessories was often very limited. Around this time I started looking for a new project. The digital marketing company I co-founded had recently been sold and I was looking for a new venture. The idea began to form that I could combine my passion for padel with my 20 years' experience in digital marketing, and LovePadel launched in October 2024.

Our objective is to ensure that quality padel equipment is easily available to players of all abilities, playing styles and budgets, in every corner of the island of Ireland. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced competitive player, you will find something that suits you. If you need advice, please don't be afraid to ask. Padel is our favourite topic of conversation and we are here to help!

We want to be more than just a shop: we want to build a community that supports the growth of padel in Ireland. We track the progress of Irish players through FIP rankings and host an interactive map of padel courts across the island of Ireland. If you have padel news, events, tournaments or fundraisers, share them with us so we can share them with our community.
