With the revolutionary XTR frame, Slazenger has engineered a racket that offers two distinct advantages: increase your swing speed, or retain your current rhythm while enhancing stability and power. The concept is straightforward yet ingenious. By allowing air to flow more efficiently across the racket’s surface, drag is significantly reduced, resulting in improved swing speed.

For those who prefer to maintain their established swing speed, opting for a slightly heavier version can provide the added benefit of increased stability and power — without the racket feeling cumbersome.

The XTR is available in weights ranging from 360 to 375 grams, allowing every player to find their perfect match.

Core & Surface

To ensure the enduring integrity, durability, and tension of the core and hitting surface, the large XTR-perforations have been strategically integrated into the frame’s design. Their precise placement in each corner of the face enhances the sweet spot, delivering greater power output by evenly distributing force across the circular hitting surface.

The medium-firm EVA28 Black Multilayer core is engineered with four distinct layers, each with varying densities, to provide tailored responsiveness depending on the nature of the shot. The hitting surface combines cutting-edge materials with engineering precision.

To achieve a surface that is both exceptionally responsive and resilient — without compromising playability with excessive hardness — we have utilized 24K carbon fiber from TeXtreme. This specialized carbon fiber, known for its lightweight and durable properties, is also used in Formula 1, underscoring its pedigree. 

The racket’s surface is composed of four layers, meticulously arranged with alternating carbon and fiberglass for optimum comfort and response. Each layer is carefully oriented so that the fibers run in different directions, ensuring maximum structural strength.

The outermost layer (24K TeXtreme) is angled at ±45 degrees, enhancing the performance of each carbon fiber strand, allowing more strands to engage with every shot, thereby amplifying power and spin. Vibrations from off-center hits are deftly mitigated by the integrated vibration dampening system embedded within the handle, ensuring a smooth, controlled experience.
